Saint Boniface Christmas Tree Farm Sweatshirt
Saint Boniface, known as the Apostle of the Germans, was a missionary who played a key role in converting the Germanic peoples to Christianity. Saint Boniface encountered a group of pagans who were worshiping an oak tree, which was sacred to Thor, the Norse god of thunder. To demonstrate the powerlessness of the pagan gods and to persuade the Germanic people to abandon their pagan practices, Boniface took an axe and cut down the oak tree.
When Boniface was not struck down by the pagan gods, as the Germanic people expected, they were amazed. The story goes that a fir tree grew from the roots of the oak. Boniface used this as a symbol of Christianity, explaining that its triangular shape represented the Holy Trinity and that, being evergreen, it symbolized eternal life in Christ.
